COVID-19 Update from Bearden Investigative Agency

Bearden Investigative Agency would like to update you on the measures we are taking during COVID-19 to ensure minimum disruption to case work, while ensuring we protect the interests of our employees at this unprecedented time. Our team of world class Investigators are extremely dedicated and flexible. They are working diligently to ensure there is no disruption to your investigative case work and reporting.

BACKGROUND INVESTIGATIONS, DUE DILIGENCE, OPPOSITION RESEARCH, & EMPLOYMENT SCREENING

We are encouraging our Investigators to work remotely until further notice. This gives our Investigators peace of mind relating to their health during this crisis and allows them to maintain financial security at a time where attending an office and other movement is discouraged.  Our innovative systems are by design flexible, and allow for secure investigations in a remote work place. This allows for continuity of casework even in a time of crisis. There will be limited disruption to our research projects during this time and background screening services will continue as normal. Our internet portal will remain active to place and order background investigations.

SURVEILLANCE & FIELD INTERVIEWS

During this time of restricted movement, our Investigators continue to be strategic in their surveillance planning and are only conducting surveillance where it is urgent and case critical minimizing unnecessary risk of exposure. Most insurance defense and worker injury matters will continue uninterrupted. For family law matters, we are asking to evaluate the need and value of such surveillances.
 
We are committed to completing witness interviews and securing testimony using video conference and telephone where appropriate. However, due to the in person requirements of notarizing services, these are being assessed on a case by case basis. Your safety and that of our employees is paramount. In certain states, (primarily New York) some emergency legislation has been passed to allow for the remote signing as it relates to notaries at this time. We will continue to monitor developments here.

FORENSIC COMPUTER & CELL PHONE EXAMINATIONS

During COVID-19 restrictions, we are allowing limited extractions to take place in our office for mobile devices and imaging of personal or desktop computers. Only in rare circumstances are we allowing employees to travel to offices to image or extract data from devices.

EXPERT OR WITNESS TESTIMONY

Many courts are now facilitating online hearings due to COVID-19. If you are in need of an investigator for testimony on a pending case, please contact us as soon as practicable so that we can arrange their virtual appearance. We are monitoring what courts are doing and will operate accordingly.
