Jennifer is a collaborative leader and licensed private investigator
with a strong background in criminal justice and law, as well as
editing and writing.
Jennifer served as an award-winning journalist at The Dallas Morning News for nearly
25 years. There, she was the public safety editor and coached and
edited the work of reporters who covered public safety, crime, courts
and legal issues. Prior to her role as an editor, she was a longtime
reporter at The News. She has covered the justice system from
the street to the courtroom to the execution chamber. She has also
researched and written extensively about eyewitness identification,
wrongful convictions, officer-involved shootings, as well as children
accused of crimes, growing up in prison, and life after prison.
