Attorney and Investigator

Stacy Stevens is an investigator and licensed attorney who joined Bearden Investigative Agency in 2015. Ms. Stevens manages a variety of cases at the agency and specializes in open records, FOIA and Public Information Act requests and coordination of discovery and investigation.

After receiving her undergraduate degree, Ms. Stevens joined the Anderson Community Supervision Department in Anderson, Texas, where she supervised people whose community supervision was transferred out of Anderson County.

In 2005, she went to work for the Dallas County Community Supervision Department, where she was a court officer for the Honorable Judge Cunningham in the 283rd District Court of Dallas County and the Honorable Judge Alvarez in Criminal District Court No.5.

During her tenure there, she wrote reports for the court about defendants and recommended sentencing for probationers who violated their community supervision. She also supervised defendants who were referred to the court for supervision.

After graduating from law school in 2009, Ms. Stevens established the Stevens Law Firm in the Dallas–Fort Worth Area to handle family law, criminal defense cases and appeals.

Education

  • Graduated from Texas Wesleyan Law School in Fort Worth, Texas in 2006. During law school, she participated in mock trial and the Family Law Clinic and was inducted into Phi Delta Phi, a Legal Academic Society. She also completed numerous pro-bono hours and worked as an intern for two years while completing law school.
  • Graduated Magna Cum Laude from Sam Houston State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice and Psychology in 2003.
  • Received the Scholastic Achievement Award from The College of Criminal Justice in 2002.
